Alter Der Ruine, created in May 2005 by Mike Jenney, caused quite a stir in the Arizona industrial scene after their high-octane debut at Club Asylum in Tucson. Subsequent shows immediately followed, consisting of appearances at Arizona fetish events, various clubs, and the infamous Sadisco* gathering. A.D.R. has opened for Dismantled, Psyclon 9, Snog, Noise Terror, Still Life Decay, 45 Grave and more. The band's debut album,
The Ruine Process, released in August 2006, secured their position in the industrial scene. A small West Coast tour followed, in which the band played at an impressive array of high-profile venues, including Das Bunker, Quarantine, Infirmary, and the Palladium in Tijuana, Mexico.
In addition, the band's music and re-mixes have appeared on a number of notable compilations: Das Bunker's
Fear of a Distorted Planet, CrunchPod's
Songs in the Key of Death, Inure's
Subversive (special edition on Alfa Matrix), and Caustic's
Puppies, Kittens, and Shit (special edition remix on CrunchPod). Further praise and reviews of A.D.R. can be found in the online publications of Neurotunes.de and chaindlk. A.D.R. has received radio and club play throughout the United States as well as in Europe.
Alter Der Ruine has recently signed with Sistinas Music. Fans can look forward to a new album, slated for summer 2007, followed by a North American tour.
